The Green Goblin of Coffee … is not an Antagonist

One of the most famous drinks in human history is coffee, not only does this energizing drink give us the buzz we need to start our day, but it is also known for its numerous health benefits. But still, many have questioned its effects. More these days, where there have been several researches done and have found that the green coffee bean can help trim body fat and help one lose weight.

Coffee has been known to be a powerful antioxidant which prevents free radicals from causing cell degeneration. With continued research, scientists have found out that even decaffeinated coffee; due to its caffeic and chlorogenic acids,  can fight against certain illnesses such as, prostate cancer and can  help prevent type 2 diabetes. The chlorogenic acid in green coffee was identified as the ingredient which decelerates the release of glucose in the blood stream after eating, benefiting people who are susceptible to type 2 diabetes. According to studies done in January 2012, it is also the ingredient identified which aids in weight loss.

A research was done with the coffee bean involving a group of obese men and women. They were given 1,050 mg and 700 mg doses of the green extract. Some candidates were given a placebo and all were asked not to make any alterations in their diets. After a period of six weeks, the participants who were given the green coffee extract lost an estimated of 16 to 17 lbs. Very prominent results in just a short span of time don’t you think? The body mass index, percentage of body fat , and body girth were also measured and there were amazing decrease in all of these  areas as well.

Other researches have been made to test this theory and they have found that the green coffee bean does have weight loss effects and results are not the same in all cases.
The suggested dosage of the 800mg capsules of Green Coffee Bean Extract is two times a day or as instructed by your doctor.

There haven’t been reports of any harmful effects from the said supplements because these extracts were produced in a way that the consumer would get the antioxidants with less caffeine. If one is interested in adding Green Coffee Bean Extract to your daily diet, it is advisable that you do consult your doctor first.

Garcinia Cambogia Extract – Losing the Extra Pounds Has Never Been Easier

Hundreds of medical breakthroughs have been featured and presented by Dr. Mhemet Oz in his show in the hopes of educating and informing the general public of the options available to them.  Dr. Oz is not only a TV personality but he is a highly respected medical professional first and foremost.  And when he recommends a product or an idea, people listen.
One of his latest endorsements in weight loss is Garcinia Cambogia extract – a new supplement that he explained at length in one of his show’s segment.  He refers to it as the “Holy Grail of weight loss”.  Here is a closer look at the Garcinia Cambogia Extract according to reviews and studies available.

What is Garcinia Cambogia and what is the extract exactly made of?
Garcia Cambogia is actually a fruit found in Southeast Asia, India and some parts of Africa.  The fruit is used in the local dishes in the said countries, most especially in the preparation of curries.  The people from the regions mentioned have known about the fruit’s health benefits and they have been safely enjoying them for years. The fruit’s rind is rich in hydroxycitric acid or HCA.  HCA is the compound that is extracted and processed into a capsule form.

How does Garcinia Cambogia help weight loss?
Studies have been conducted over the years, and here are the key results:
·         It is seen to prevent visceral fat accumulation
·         It is found to lower critical health factors such as LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), triglycerides and serum leptin.
·         It increases levels of HDL cholesterol or the good cholesterol and serotonin (which effectively suppresses appetite, controls depression, migraine and insomnia)
·         The safety profile of the extract is good showing no adverse effects on some of the studies.

Garcinia Cambogia effectively enhances the biochemistry of the body internally which results in the prevention of fat cell production.  It slows down the whole process of fat accumulation.  Because the fat consumed is not stored, it simply leaves the body unprocessed. This effect accompanied by the extract’s ability to suppress appetite makes it a dual fat –buster as mentioned by Dr. Oz.
Garcinia Cambogia increase levels serotonin, otherwise known as the happy hormone.  This simply means that stress and depression is kept at bay effectively preventing the food cravings.  This is good news for people who gained too much weight because of emotional eating disorder.

Is Garcinia Cambogia readily available?
Yes, the Garcinia Cambogia Extract is available in health stores and also online.  Just make sure that the label has information on the ingredients found in every capsule.  Consult a health professional for the proper dosage.
